Windows 10/11 – Presentation Mode

This guide will show you the process of turning on “Presentation Mode”, this will stop your machine from going to sleep and keep the screen on.

Please note, these options are only available on laptops.

Windows Mobility Center

Step 1

Type “Windows Mobility Center” in the search box on the bottom left of the screen and left-click on the application that appears (highlighted in the image below).

Step 2

When ‘Windows Mobility Center’ has opened, left-click the “Turn on” button in the Presentation Settings area.

Step 3

Presentation mode is now on and you screen will no longer time out.

Step 4

When no longer required, left-click “Turn off” to stop presentation mode.

Presentation Settings

Step 1

Type “Adjust settings before giving a presentation” into the search box on the bottom left of the screen and left-click on the application that appears (shown in the image below).

Step 2

When ‘Presentation Settings’ has opened, left-click the tick box saying “I am currently giving a presentation” and the press “OK”. Your screen will no longer go to sleep.

Step 3

To turn off this setting, repeat Steps 1 + 2 and untick the box in ‘Presentation Settings’.
