This guide will show you the process of setting up the “Microsoft Authenticator” app.
If you have previously setup the app on an older device and are trying to sign-in on a new one (i.e., you have a new phone), please contact IT support via the Mojo Helpdesk
Step 1
Download the “Microsoft Authenticator” app from your device’s app store. This will likely be either Google Play or App Store.
Please note, when searching for the “Microsoft Authenticator” app, it might not appear first in the results. Please look for the following:


Step 2
On a separate device, such as a laptop or computer, navigate to: https://www.office.com/?auth=2
Then sign-in using your work account login.

Step 3
Select “Next” on the following pages:
If the “More information required” page does not load straightaway, either refresh the page or open an incognito/InPrivate tab on your internet browser and redo step 2.



Step 4
When this page appears, open the “Microsoft Authenticator” app:

With the “Microsoft Authenticator” app open, follow the steps highlighted below:



Step 6
Scan the QR code shown on your other device, using the “Microsoft Authenticator” app.

Step 7
You will receive one of the following prompts:
Number
A number will be displayed on your laptop/computer, whilst an Authenticator pop-up will appear on your phone.
Input the number on your phone and press “YES”.

6-Digit Code
On the authenticator app, tap the account you’re authenticating to access the “One-time password code” and input the code on your laptop/computer. Once done, click “Verify”.
Please note, the code refreshes every 30 seconds.

Step 8
Your “Microsoft Authenticator” is now setup.
