YouTube – Prompting for Sign-in

This guide will show you what to do when YouTube is prompting for a sign-in to confirm you are not a bot.

Please note, this will usually appear when following a link/hyperlink from a 3rd party, not when searching for a video on YouTube or Google.

Sign-in Prompt

Step 1

Go to the top of your web browser and look for “.mcas.ms” with the URL.

Step 2

Remove “.mcas.ms” from the URL and press the “Enter” key.

Step 3

The video should now play without asking for a sign-in.
