Outlook – App Login

This guide will show you the process of logging into the Microsoft Outlook application on a phone/tablet.

Please note, there are two separate guides below; one shows how to sign into Outlook for the first-time and the other how to add an extra account to Outlook.

I currently don’t have Outlook downloaded:

This guide will show you the process of downloading and setting up the Microsoft Outlook application.

Step 1

Download the “Microsoft Outlook” app from your device’s app store. This will likely be either Google Play or App Store.

Step 2

Open Outlook.

Step 2

Press “Add Account” at the bottom of the screen (as highlighted in the image below).

Step 3

Sign-in using your school account.

Step 5

You will then be prompted to approve the sign in by Microsoft Authenticator.

Step 6

You will then be prompted to register your device with the organisation (this tells us when the Outlook app was last active, the model of your device, and what operating system it is running.)

Once registered, a pop-up will appear saying the Outlook app is now managed by the organisation and to restart the application.

Step 7

You have now signed into Microsoft Outlook and can access your school account emails and shared calendar(s).

I already have Outlook downloaded for other accounts:

This guide will show you the process of adding a new account to your Microsoft Outlook application.

Step 1

Open Outlook.

Step 2

On the left of the screen, press the circular tick box (as highlighted in the image below).

Step 3

From the options that appear at the bottom of the screen, select “Add an account”.

Step 4

Sign-in using your school account.

Step 5

You will then be prompted to approve the sign in by Microsoft Authenticator.

Step 6

You will then be prompted to register your device with the organisation (this tells us when the Outlook app was last active, the model of your device, and what operating system it is running.)

Once registered, a screen will appear saying the Outlook app is now managed by the organisation and to restart the application.

Step 7

You have now signed into Microsoft Outlook and can access your school account emails and shared calendar(s).

To filter between email accounts, press the icons on the left of the screen. The account you are currently looking at will be highlighted blue, as shown in the image below.

Additionally, before signing into Outlook, please ensure Microsoft Authenticator has been setup for your account.
